This healthy, vegan recipe frosting cuts refined sugars or syrups for natural sweetness from bananas and dates.  And no one, child or adult, can resist the classic combination of bananas and peanut butter.  Use it over Chocolate brownies or spread it on slice apples.

Ingredients

3 ripe bananas
1/2 cup roasted peanut butter (no added oils or sugar)
1 cup pitted dates
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 cup almond milk

Procedure

Gather ingredients
To make frosting: Combine all ingredients in a small sauce pot. 
Cover and simmer 8 minutes, until dates are completely soft. 
Pour everything into a blender or food processor. 
Process until smooth.
Spread on Peanut Butter Chocolate Bars or any other baked treat. Freeze for long-term storage.

Chef's Tip: Freeze ripe bananas so you can make this treat any time you're craving some sweetness.  For a peanut-free alternative, try it with almond butter or sunflower seed butter.
