Ingredients

1 cup almond milk
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 clove
1 teaspoon maple syrup (or other sweetener of choice)
Warm coffee or tea, to serve

Procedure

Zyliss Milk Frother

To make the Chai Almond Milk: In a small pot, combine the almond milk with the ginger, cinnamon, cardamom, nutmeg, and clove.  Simmer 1-2 minutes, just to infuse the almond milk.  Remove the clove and add the maple syrup (or other sweetener).
To Make the Chai Latte:  Use a Zyliss milk frother to froth the milk for about 30-60 seconds, until bubbly and doubled in volume.  Pour over warm coffee or tea and serve.

Chef's Tips:  Make a big batch of Chai Almond Milk.  You can warm and froth a single portion or use to flavor smoothies and oatmeal.

For an even easier version, simply steep one Chai tea bag in almond milk for 1-2 minutes.  Then froth with your milk frother and pour over coffee or tea.

Yield: 1 Chai Latte
