Ultimate Game Day Recipes

Game day is almost here -- are you ready?  Just because the commercials will be full of junk food doesn't mean you have to wreck your diet.  I have 2 menus that are loaded with healthy, vegan party foods that bring the flavor and competition.  Your guests won't have a clue that they're vegan, they'll be too busy digging in.  Choose your own Super Bowl spread for a day of fun and delicious flavor.


Chili Bar Throwdown!

It's a battle of the Red and White with a chili throwdown.  You can make both versions ahead of time and just reheat game day.  You can even set up 2 Slow Cookers for hassle-free food; let guests help themselves.

Serve up with a full toppings bar: Guacamole, Pico de Gallo, Crumbly Gluten-Free Cornbread, Nacho "Geez!" Sauce, radish slices, roasted pepper strips, minced onion, charred corn kernels.  Just leave room for the ultimate dessert:  Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Bars.  You'll have your guests going bananas for these vegan treats!


Stuffed and Loaded!

It's a battle of the Stuffed Potatoes.  In one corner we have traditional Russets with a Broccoli "Geezy!" stuffing.  In the other corner, we have Sweet Potatoes with a Southwestern-inspired filling.  

Serve with even more potato love from two types of baked fries. 

Plus two versions of hummus that do double-duty: Great as appetizers for dipping fresh veggies and whole wheat pita.  Also great as creamy toppers for your Stuffed Spuds.

Finish on a light note with kicked up vegan Mexican Chocolate sauce and some healthy, fresh fruit.
